As an owner and operator of various business enterprises, Ken offers a unique, insider’s perspective when it comes to his accounting and tax expertise. From 1978 through 1998, he held the reins at three successful accounting firms: Saltzman Friednash, CPAs, P.C.; Friednash and Associates, CPAs, P.C.; and Seff and Friednash, P.C. Since 1999, he’s been Managing Member and Operator of Dakota Fresh-Mex, LLC/Qdoba Mexican Grills in the Midwest, and since 2007, he’s offered his services as Consultant to The Seff Group. His experience as a CPA in Colorado (currently inactive), and as a Certified Valuation Analyst has given him a wealth of knowledge in many areas of taxation, accounting, consulting and valuations.

Ken’s representation of closely held businesses and their owners is broad based from both a consultancy perspective and that of an operator in financial, tax and other matters. His specific experience includes valuation of closely held businesses and professional practices; real estate, venture capital, manufacturing, professional practices, retail and wholesale; consultancy in a wide variety of litigation matters; mergers and acquisitions; business and tax planning; and due diligence. He participates in a number of professional and civic organizations, including Parkinson’s Association of the Rockies (Board Member), Qdoba Mexican Grill National Franchise (Advisory Board Member), Kempe Childrens Foundation (immediate past treasurer), and Cherry Creek Arts Festival (past president/treasurer). He received his BS in accounting from University of Denver.
